Time travel back to spring of 2018! I was impressed with Portugal’s history and architecture, the natural beauty of its terraced Douro wine valley, and the timeless setting of blue and white tiles . Plus, I loved the fresh sea food bonanza!
To my pleasant surprise I learned that 70% of the world’s cork supply comes from Portugal! Cork is eco-friendly—you don’t kill the tree but use the renewable bark of the tree. It is lightweight, water-resistant and sustainable. My first piece of cork jewelry was crafted on my return from Portugal!
Thanks!
Till next time. Rinku.
