As someone who has recently reignited her passion for artificial intelligence through online courses, I've been feeling incredibly motivated to integrate AI into my personal life. It's a fascinating field, and the advancements just keep coming!

What many don't know is that my journey with AI actually began much earlier. Back in 1990, I delved into AI and Expert Systems during my studies, even working on an Expert System in 1992. Fast forward to last week, a sudden spark of curiosity led me to rummage through my bookshelves, hoping to unearth any old AI books.

And guess what I found? A true treasure!

It's a paperback AI book, originally published in 1983 and acquired by me in 1990. The most incredible part? It was bought for me by my late Father from India. I remember we living in International House, London, at the time. Inside the cover, Baba's handwritten note reads: "Rinku Ghosh, International House." So incredibly precious...Dad's love and support for my intellectual pursuits!

What makes this discovery even more profound is the fact that during our cross-Atlantic journey in 1992 to the Cornhusker State of Nebraska, USA ... a move for a better and more meaningful life... we let go of so many belongings. Yet, somehow, this AI book remained treasured.

Of course, AI has undergone a monumental transformation since then. But finding this book wasn't just about unearthing old knowledge. It was a deeply uplifting moment of time travel, a reminder of my roots, and a tangible connection to love, knowledge, and curiosity. It's a treasure far beyond its pages, deeply intertwined with my personal history.

Till next time. Thanks!

Rinku.
